7 weeks, 5 days...

Hello internet - sorry if I haven't paid a whole lot of attention lately. I've been preoccupied. I had a hard time deciding when we would say anything, if we would say anything, but I've finally come to the conclusion that I am 100% comfortable with letting the baby out of the bag.

Yep - I'm pregnant! 7 weeks, 5 days today! The first ultrasound went very well, and Baby Gaines was even measuring ahead of where I thought he would based on my cycle. And, our little fella has the heart of a champion at 156 bpm!

    You've posted about being more tired than usual AND freaky dreams...girl, these are two dead giveaways.

    Congratulations! So happy for you! And just wait 'til the fun dreams really start. And, to be blunt, I'm talkin' about S-E-X here. Pregnancy sex dreams are the best. Trust me on this one!

    Lula, Vicki - Thanks for the prayers and the well wishes. I'm having a hard time being excited by it because it all still seems so surreal. I'm glad I will have both your experience as mothers for guidance in the future!

    I think that's a totally natural feeling after a miscarriage. Don't worry, you've got plenty of time to get excited. And once you start nesting the whole house beautification project will take on a life of its own...
