OH EM GEE!

I think I peed my pants while watching this:

Other Stuff:

Picasa Web Albums >>>>>>>> Flickr

Fo Realz peeps.

I've tested them both, and Picasa kicks butt when it comes to embedding pictures in a blog in a size that is not r-tarded.

Speaking of pictures, here are some pictures taken on the new camera. I'm still figuring things out. I promised husband I would read the manual (and I will) but I'm more interested in learning how to become an expert digital photographer. I'm on the hunt for "hot tips" for digital photography, and I will probably torture you with my latest digital exploits.

Boring old iced tea at Hooters before the game on Tuesday:

How YOU doin', Steve?

Where we sit, in relation to the diamond:

Big Unit!!! (we sit about as far away from the Jumbo Tron as you can get)

Mmmmm, tasty Connor Jackson!

In other news:

I found out that pregnant women aren't supposed to eat softboiled eggs (ie, poached eggs). Lame. What am I going to do for breakfast when I am finally pregnant again? It wasn't bad enough that I wasn't allowed to eat deli meat last time, this time around I am no longer allowed to sleep on my back after 4 months! Are you effin' kidding me?? I have no idea how healthy children managed to be born back when our mothers were still smoking, drinking, and sleeping on their backs while pregnant. Oh, and eating deli meat. Boo.

  1. We went to see the Royals Monday night. They lost. As usual. Still fun to go though. We tailgated until the 7th inning stretch.

As for what you eat when you're pregnant. Women always freaked out about everything at first. You slowly begin to loosen up!

  2. For whatever it's worth, here's my preggo experience. With my first, I was psycho--no caffeine, zero alcohol (not even a sip!), no meds except Benadryl & Tylenol, and even then rarely...lots of exercise, very healthy eating, side-sleeping, etc. I then gave birth to a 1 month premature daughter who weighed less than 6 pounds, had a mild breathing disorder (due to being premature), took forever to nurse well, and had colic for 2 months. She started sleeping throught the night at about 9 months of age. Very. Difficult. Baby. (But she's an amazingly wonderful 6 year old now, if I may brag a bit.)

The second time around I pretty much said, "screw it," and drank caffeine every now and then, ate pretty much whatever the crap I wanted, took Rx meds for heartburn, and woke up every single night flat on my back. Always started off on my side, of course, but ended up on my back before the night was over. Oh, I still didn't drink the 2nd time around, but that's just wise anyway. (Did take a sip of Cabernet at the beach--couldn't resist!) I then had a scheduled, repeat c-section at 39 weeks. She weighed over 6 lbs., was a born breastfeeding champion, had zero colic and slept through the night from the age of 2 weeks on. Best. Baby. Ever. (And as a 2.5 year old, she's nowhere near as sweet as her big sister--but I love her just the same! Ha.)

Coincidence? I don't know. Take it for what you will! :)

  3. Lula, Vicki:

Thanks for your insight. I think that the hard part for me is that these things keep getting added to the list. Even since the last time I was pregnant. In January, I never read a damn thing about not sleeping on my back or not eating soft boiled eggs. I mean, come on! Give me a break! No poached eggs??!!?? But I just bought an egg cooker! Nooo...

I think next time around I'm going to just stick to the basics. No drinking, no smoking. No crack. Everything else in moderation.
